I am incredibly grateful to the National Society of High School Scholars for extending this opportunity to our team. In the rural area where we are located, tournament opportunities are infrequent, which means that our annual travel expenses are quite high. Each year, I have students who qualify for the national tournament yet decline to attend because the cost is prohibitive for them. This grant will help make attendance at nationals possible for students who might not otherwise be able to go.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for awarding me the $500 School Cash Club Grant for 2024, Wave 1. I am truly honored to receive this support from such a prestigious organization. I am particularly excited about using these funds to purchase books for my students, enabling me to continue our book club over the summer following the 2024-2025 school year. By encouraging students to keep reading during the break, I aim to foster their love of literature and help prevent any loss of reading skills. Again, Thank you for your generosity and for supporting my efforts to promote literacy and a lifelong love of reading among students.

There will always be a new idea that teachers have that can make the classroom a more meaningful and exciting place for students. There is not always district funding. 99������Ƶhas provided my classroom with funds more than once over the course of my entire teaching career. Whether it's an expanded film library or more production equipment, my students have had more opportunities to do college level work and feel like professionals because of 99������Ƶgrants. I can't wait to share this wonderful news with the amazing student leaders of our school's Model United Nations (MUN)! This 99������Ƶgrant will enable our group to attend more conferences. My students are enthusiastic and driven. They are also not your typical MUN club. My students will be the first in their families to attend college. Often, our students are the only African American or Latinx students at the conferences we attend. I support MUN because it fosters diplomacy, and an understanding of international issues, and encourages young people to become global citizens. On a personal note, attending MUN conferences also gives my students the space to meet and interact with academically motivated young people, something of a precursor to the students they will encounter in college.

I am a music and theater teacher in Fredonia, Kansas. I applied for the 99������ƵSchool Supply Grant to help with the cost of our theater costumes for the musical production of “Beauty and the Beast” that we put on this year. With the grant money I received, we could rent specific costumes for our show, including costumes for the characters Belle, Cogsworth, Lumiere, The Beast, the Wardrobe, and Chip. With the support I received from NSHSS, I could devote more time and money to all aspects of the show, earning our students several nominations for state-wide awards. Thank you so much to 99������Ƶfor the Educator Travel Grant! This grant will help provide an opportunity to gain knowledge from agricultural leaders pertaining to the agriculture industry and education that can be brought back to the classroom. This information will help students further their knowledge about agriculture and possibly inspire students to choose a career in the agriculture industry.

Thank you for the opportunity for me to highlight my students and my career. Helping students find their passion and grow as individuals is made easier with the financial support offered through organizations like NSHSS.
